The Marlborough Dramatic Club are currently looking for a current member (or someone who would like to become a member!) to fill the vacant role of club secretary. Are you, or anyone you know, interested? We would like to thank Karol Patten for all her work as secretary and we wish her all the best in her new family role!
We meet at least monthly (with each meeting followed by tea and cake!) to discuss club productions and events and this voluntary role includes booking venues for productions and events, purchasing rights to perform plays, buying and distributing scripts, (both of these using the club's budget of course!), liaising with NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Association) and contacting members with updates about the club. The secretary will join an enthusiastic and friendly group of voluntary committee members including the Chairman, Treasurer, Minutes secretary, Production crew and Marketing assistants. The Marlborough has been going for almost 120 years (we are planning a big celebration in 2024) and has produced many plays during that time. By being secretary you would become part of a Brentwood institution! You can find out more about the club here and the plays we have produced here.
